When I Think of You

When I think of you
Sometimes I cry
But always all the good memories
Keep flashing in my head

Every time I talk about you
Think about you,
Every time I say your name
I remember your loving heart

I love you
I miss you
Your kind heart
Your loving arms

When I think of you
I always smile
Deep inside my heart shreds
Its still hard to believe
You will never be around
Even though your gone
You will always be in my heart

Lit Circle

Last Thursday, during our lit circle, we were finishing up the book, "Bondi's Brother". It was a book that our group extremely disliked. When it was time for us to talk about it, one of us, (Briana Reed), only read to page 8. Now we are reading "Twisted" by Laurie Halse Anderson. Hopefully this one will be more...tolerable than "Bondi's Brother", at least, that's what we are hoping.

Prince who Usurped the Throne

A man who thinks he can do anything
A man who usurps the throne
A man who puts all in misery
A man who thinks he can do anything

A servant who lives and breaths
A servant who works and slaves
A servant who puts starves and thirsts
A servant who lives and breaths

A child who is orphaned
A child who lives in torture
A child who wants what they can't have
A child who is orphaned

An elder who is sick and helpless
An elder who is tired and weary
An elder who gives what they have
An elder who is sick and helpless

A man who thinks he can do anything
A man who usurps the throne
A man who puts all in misery
A man who thinks he can do anything

Grammar

For grammar this week we studied in our books what pronouns are. We did exercises to help us understand what words are pronouns in sentences.

Vocabulary

This week for vocabulary we made posters. The posters defined poetry terms. Words that were defined were personification, allusion, metaphor, alliteration, simile, assonance, consance, imagery, stanza, rhyme scheme and onomatopoeia. We had to put the word, definition and an example(s).
